Hi, I’m Ruth. I am a mother of four: 1, 2, 13, 16 years old. As an entrepreneur and a stay at home mom, I sometimes find it difficult to play both roles at the same time. My 2 year old was in daycare when he was only 8 months old but I un-enrolled him this past December. I guess I just got tired of the snotty noses. My 1 year old has been home with me since birth. Having both boys at home hasn’t been a walk in the park but have managed to get through these past few months.

I am an active mompreneur influencer on Instagram and came across Usit. At first I was a little skeptical because of the type of employees they’re hiring “ college students.” but then I got extremely curious as to what genius came up with this awesome idea. Not only are they providing jobs for college students to get through school, it’s helping mamas like me stay sane for a couple hours in a day. So I downloaded the app, entered my information, but I didn’t use it until two weeks ago, I was in desperate need of some help... my daughters were out for the day and I was packed with clients and needed someone to watch the boys while being home, so I decided to give it a try.

The app was super easy to use. I created a job, entered the date I needed the babysitter from start to end, the rate per hour I wanted to pay, my address, my boys name & age, and if I needed any special requirements... there was a space for me to note it. The idea of having a stranger in my home was a little scary but I decided to try it out. Worst case scenario, I could delete the app and never use it again.

Anyhow, when the babysitter arrived she was polite and had a smile so contagious that it made me smile. She was extremely attentive and ready to work. She immediately grabbed the boys and got right to business and the kids were in love with her. She even took the boys to the park... But here’s why I’m sold on Usit: This app has a built in FaceTime and tracking device, whoa! wait what? I know right, I said the same thing. I was able to check in with the boys as often as I wanted to. What a game changer! I am definitely excited to use it again.
